Rally Madison FC Sign UW Badger, Abbey Stanton, For 2026
Another Madison-native Joins Rally In Inaugural Year
MADISON, WI: Rally Madison FC have announced the signing of University of Wisconsin-Madison Midfielder/Forward, Abbey Stanton, for the 2026 season. Having played at Madison West High School and the University of Madison, Stanton now adds Rally Madison FC to her local soccer repertoire.
“Abby Stanton will be a tremendous addition to Rally Madison FC for our inaugural season,” said Rally Madison FC Head Coach, Giuliano Oliviero. “Competing at a high level with the Wisconsin Badgers, Abby brings a relentless work rate and a no-quit mentality that sets the tone in the attack. Her constant energy, willingness to press, and ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball make her an exciting player to watch. We are thrilled to welcome Abby and look forward to the intensity and passion she will bring to our group.”
Stanton had a stellar high school career with the Madison West Regents where she scored 69 goals and contributed 48 assists. In 2023 she was named to the US Coaches All North-Region Team, made the Olympic Development Program National Team and made the National League Best XI with her club team, the Madison 56ers.
During her senior year in 2024 she was named US Soccer Coaches High School All-American, Big 8 Conference Player of the Year, US Soccer Coaches All North-Region Team, All-State 1st Team and another Club National League Best XI. She was named to the First Team All-Conference all four years of her high school career as well.
“As a local player, bringing women’s soccer to Madison has been a dream of mine for a long time, and I am so excited and honored to be a part of Rally’s inaugural season,” said Stanton. “I look forward to not only training and playing with high-level players and coaches, but also building a culture of competitive women’s soccer in Madison for the next generation of players.”
Stanton is entering her junior year at UW-Madison having seen 81 total minutes on the pitch with the Badgers in her sophomore season last year.
