Rally Madison FC to Partner with League of Women Voters of Dane County for June 9th Match in Recognition of 19th Amendment

The match against River Light FC will feature a ticket fundraiser, sash giveaway and alternate kit launch
MADISON, Wis. — Rally Madison FC is excited to announce a ticket fundraiser for the League of Women Voters of Dane County (LWVDC) and a sash giveaway for its match against River Light FC at Breese Stevens Field on June 9th. RMFC will also launch a new alternate kit to commemorate the 19th Amendment’s anniversary.
$5 from each 1919 Ticket Pack sold for the June 9th match will be donated to the League of Women Voters of Dane County. The packs will include Covered Corner match tickets and a commemorative dual-branded summer scarf. The League of Women Voters supports and empowers local voters through education and advocacy work by providing issue literacy, voter outreach and information on candidates. Volunteers from LWVDC will be on-site to answer questions from fans and encourage our community on the importance of voting. Fans can purchase the ticket packages for June 9th here.
The first 500 fans in attendance on June 9th will receive a sash featuring Rally Madison branding alongside a “Votes for Women” slogan across the middle. The sash is an iconic symbol of the women’s suffrage movement.
In addition to the ticket fundraiser and giveaway, Rally Madison athletes will take the field in a new alternate kit, based on the Wisconsin Statue that stands atop the State Capitol as a symbol of the state’s motto, “Forward.” The statue, “Wisconsin,” which has lent its likeness to the Club’s main crest marker, was a main inspiration for the Club’s alternate kit. It was designed by Emily Morgan (ig:emilymorgancreates) in partnership with Hummel, the Club’s first artist collaboration. Morgan has made a name for herself with her popular logo redesign series for professional sports teams.
“Rally Madison FC is excited to partner with Emily for our first alternate kit,” said Rally Madison FC Retail Director, Alyssa Bruce. “The opportunity for women designers, specifically in sports, is not as common as it should be. It’s something we hope to change as we continue to feature a woman artist in the future on our alternate kit.”
The initiatives at Rally Madison’s match at Breese Stevens Field commemorate the signing of the 19th Amendment, which was a major step in granting women the right to vote in the United States. The amendment was passed by Congress on June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920.
