Rally Madison FC Sign Internationally Experienced Goalkeeper, Lili Berg

Berg brings wealth of experience back to Wisconsin
MADISON, WI: Rally Madison FC have announced the signing of Bowling Green State University Keeper, Lili Berg, to their inaugural season roster.
Berg has already been finding tremendous success between the sticks across several continents in her young career. From the U.S., to Iceland, to Australia, Berg brings exceptional experience to Madison for the Club’s first season.
“We are excited to add Lili Berg to Rally Madison FC,” said Rally Madison FC Head Coach, Giuliano Oliviero. “Lili brings a strong presence to our group as a goalkeeper with excellent size and command of the box. Her leadership and experience add a level of composure and organization that will be invaluable to our team throughout the season.”
Originally from New Berlin, Wisconsin, Berg was a four-year starter for Catholic Memorial High School, earning two First-Team All-State selections. With over 50 career shutouts, Berg helped lead her squad to three-straight Division III State Championships, captaining the team in her senior year and being named the Classic 8 Conference Player of the Year.
Following high school, Berg signed with Ohio State University but transferred to Bowling Green State University in 2020. She was a four-year starter at BGSU, helping the squad to become MAC Regular Season and Tournament Champions in both 2020 and 2021, while being named to the Second Team All-MAC in the process.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Lili Berg to our roster,” said Rally Madison FC Assistant Coach, Tenzin Rampa. “With impressive experience at both the collegiate and international levels, Lili is an outstanding goalkeeper known for her skill, composure, and competitive mindset. Beyond her athletic talent, she brings exceptional leadership and character that will make an immediate impact on our team culture and performance.”
In 2024 Berg took her game internationally, signing with Knattspyrnufélagið Fram competing in Iceland’s first division, Besta deild kvenna. In 2025, she headed south to play with Geelong Galaxy FC in Australia, playing in the Victoria Premier League, Australia’s second-tier of competition. While there, Berg captained the Club and received the VPLW Goalkeeper of the Year award.
Berg now brings her international experience back to Wisconsin where her soccer career began.
“It’s an exciting opportunity to represent Madison, and I’m looking forward to connecting with the community and competing in Rally Madison FC’s inaugural season,” Berg said.
